On November 16th, Nutra Manufacturing, Inc. announced a nationwide voluntary recall of one lot of GNC Women’s Ultra Mega Time Release. The product, UPC 048107158910 and lot number 3044FQ2024, may contain milk, a major undeclared food allergen. It could cause a life-threatening allergic reaction if consumed by those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk.

Bad news for lactose intolerant women: your dietary supplement may accidentally contain milk.

Comment Period for OSHA’s New Lockout/Tagout Proposal Ends December 5th

OSHA published a notice in the Federal Register on October 4th, 2016, that it intends to remove the word “unexpected” from the lockout/tagout requirements in 29 CFR 1910.147. As Bruce Main, President of design safety engineering, inc., explained in a presentation at Pack Expo, this is a significant change that will impact many companies in many industries. He urged attendees to review the change and submit comments to OSHA.
